The Class of 2017 was formally inducted and recognized at the Bow Valley Sports Hall of Fame 2017 Induction Celebration on September 28 at Banff Park Lodge in Banff. This Class includes all previous Banff Sports Hall of Fame Inductees from 2005, 2006 and 2008.

Thomas Grandi was Canada’s best male technical alpine racer in the 38 year history of the World Cup.

A four year member of the Canadian National Road Cycling Team, Maria Hawkins pedaled her way to international athletic success.
Bruce Henry – Builder
Member of Banff Ski Runners, Henry competed in all Alpine Ski Events at Club and Provincial Level and the National Jr. Alpine Championships.
Scott Holland – Athletic Achievement
Guinness World Record for most golf played in 12 hours raising over $30,000 for Banff Mineral Springs Hospital.
Jerry Johnston – Builder
Jerry Johnston’s creative inventions of special equipment and teaching techniques made a huge difference in the lives of those with disabilities.
John (Jack) MacAulay – Builder
Jack MacAulay was Chief architect behind the success of Banff minor hockey after 46 years of coaching.
Dean Magee – Athlete
After being an all star through his minor hockey days in Banff, Dean Magee began his pro career in the NHL.
Karen Percy – Athlete
Karen Percy won Canada’s first medal at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, bringing Banff two Bronze Olympic medals.

Doug Robinson excelled at every aspect of skiing, racing, coaching, course design and club development.

Brian Skrine spent over 30 years rising to prominence in the world of Alpine Ski officiating.
Dave Spence Sr. – Builder
Dave Spence Sr. was one of Alpine Skiing’s earliest advocates. Dave was Western President of the Canadian Amateur Ski Association for 10 years.
