Bow Valley Sports Hall of Fame Athlete & Coach Assistance Program – 2026
The Bow Valley Sports Hall of Fame Athlete and Coach Assistance Program (ACAP) is a sport funding program that contributes to the pursuit of excellence in sport and mountain pursuits. ACAP seeks to relieve some of the financial pressures associated with preparing for and participating in provincial, national and international competitions and assist Bow Valley resident athletes and coaches to combine their sport and academic or working careers while training intensively in pursuit of their goals. For 2026 ACAP will support up to 12 applications to a maximum of $1,000 each. Deadline to apply is November 22, 2026.
Funds for the ACAP program come from profits generated during the previous Induction Celebration events.
Eligibility details:
To be eligible to be considered for support through the ACAP, an athlete, or coach must:
- Be a full-time resident of the Bow Valley.
- Be a member or coach for a sport club or association within the Bow Valley.
- Have a demonstrated financial need that is not supported by their sport at a local, provincial or national level.

KidSport supports children who need financial assistance with sport registration fees and equipment costs. We believe that the power of sport participation promotes the development of children’s social, mental and physical well being. Through increasing access to quality sport programs, KidSport strengthens communities across Canada.
KidSport Bow Valley provides grants to help cover the costs of registration fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Bow Valley can play a season of sport. Our chapter accepts applications and administers grants of up to $500 per child/year, for kids who live in Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore, or western M.D. of Bighorn.
